Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Alicia Roberts is raising as much awareness about Ovarian Cancer in Wales as she can and to hopefully recruit a number “Voices” volunteers who either have / had ovarian cancer or are close family or friend of someone with Ovarian cancer to help raise awareness and tell their story.

If you are interested in an awareness talk or you are aware of any events you think would be useful please contact Alicia.

If you would like any of information leaflets or posters please let her know or follow the link where you can request them on the Ovarian Cancer Action website http://ovarian.org.uk/what-we-want/raising-awareness-of-ovarian-cancer/order-awareness-materials

Ovarian cancer is currently the UK’s most deadly gynaceological disease, with over 7,000 cases diagnosed every year. Every two hours a woman in the UK dies from ovarian cancer and the survival rate is lowest in Wales. Early detection can help prolong life and this is why awareness of symptoms is so important.
