Assistive Technology Basic Awareness Training

One Plan Outcome : Older people will be supported to lead fulfilled lives within their communities.

Aim: To understand how Telecare equipment can promote independence and be able to operate and demonstrate basic Telecare equipment. To develop an understanding of individual risks and how Connected Care (telecare equipment) can help to manage the risks and promote independence, choice & control.

Key Learning Outcomes:  Understand the rationale and benefits of using Telecare  Be able to identify and operate basic Telecare products  Be confident in demonstrating basic Telecare products to service users

Objectives At the end of the training, with reference to the training materials, delegates will be able to:  State the rationale and benefits of using Connected Care  Identify risks where Connected Care solutions can be applied  Correctly explain key features and benefits of Connected Care products  Have an understanding of the assessment & referral process
