Extended WCVA Criminal Records Unit

Following sector representation, the Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty, Lesley Griffiths, has agreed she is willing to extend the funding for the WCVA Criminal Records Unit until 30 September 2016.

This means that WCVA CRU can resume its DBS check access service and continue with the bilingual advice and guidance support for the third sector in Wales.

They are working with the sector to explore ways they can support safeguarding services in the longer term.
