You are invited to attend a "Free" Dementia Supportive Communities, South Powys Network Event on 26th November, 2016 in Elim Church, Brecon.
This is your opportunity to learn how to form Dementia Friendly Communities from both award winning Brecon and Hay communities, understand how the Older People's Commissioner is supporting Dementiainitiatives across Wales and experience "how it feels to live with Dementia" with the renouned theatre company, "Re-Live".
Hear directly from Carol Shillabeer, Chief Executive and Rhiannon Jones, Executive Director of Nursing, Powys teaching Health Board, Councillor Dawn Bailey, Dementia Champion, Powys County Council and Gloria Powell Jones, Chair of PAVO Trustees about Dementia Plans and development of services in Powys and take part in a question and answer session.
There will be interactive workshops and presentations from senior health board and third sector staff with lots of opportunities to network and share best practice (see attached agenda). Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
