Award-winning dementia play returns to Wales

https://vimeo.com/258072752

Following sell-out performances in 2016, and its storming success at the Wales Theatre Awards (winning Best Actor for Llion Williams and Best Director for Peter Doran), Belonging makes a triumphant return to the stage.

Written by Karin Diamond (nominated for Best Playwright, Wales Theatre Awards), Belonging follows the lives of two families as they discover that love and laughter don't have to stop because of dementia.

Don't miss one of the most powerful and uplifting plays of the year, with performances that will make you laugh and cry in equal measure.

Ticket prices for this production are available for just £10. If you are aged under 26, tickets are available for only £5!

Influenced by Re-Live’s creative work with people living with dementia and their families, Belonging is a truthful insight into the lived experiences of families affected by dementia.

Belonging uses theatre to connect thousands of people across Wales who would like to help and support people living with dementia in our communities. From families who have a loved one living with dementia, to volunteers who wish to know how to communicate more effectively with someone with dementia, Belonging is not only an entertaining theatre show but also highlights best practices in dementia care.

"Profoundly involving" British Theatre Guide ★★★★★

Dementia Training

The afternoon performances of Belonging have been designed as a powerful, cost-effective approach to dementia training for clinicians, health & social care workers and anyone who supports a person living with dementia. It promotes a positive change in attitudes, and greater knowledge and compassion for people living with dementia than more traditional dementia training.
