Keeping Welsh Homes Warm

With temperatures having dropped since the Christmas break, households across Wales have felt the impact of the colder weather. If you know of any households in need of advice or home improvements to help keep their home warm during this time, don’t forget you can refer them to Nest for help, suggesting that they check their boiler to avoid any last minute emergencies before the return of the 'Beast from the East'.

If you're looking to contact Nest on someone else's behalf, why not sign up to the Nest Partner Portal? Once you have signed up to the portal, you will be provided with unique login details and free training on how to use it. On-going support is offered and our partnership development managers are always at hand to answer any queries you may have.

Please contact your local partnership development manager for more information on how to sign up to the Nest Partner Portal.
Do you know of any households in need of home improvements? Refer them to Nest through the Partner Portal.
Nest also has a smartphone app, which partners can download and refer people to the scheme for support. The app transfers encrypted data to the Nest team and does not store data on your phone. The app is available on both the Apple and Android app stores.

Our advice team are available to take calls and guide you through the process on Freephone 0808 808 2244or visit our website.
Having received positive feedback from a number of partner organisations, Nest is now reaching out to all partners to share with us their good-news stories for the Nest Partner Bulletin. We will be sharing a broad range of stories, including case studies, opinion pieces, Q&A's and testimonials, which will come directly from partners who have supported service users on their journey.

Nest would also like to extend its support through its social media channels. If you have an event you would like to promote or a case study regarding a successful application, please let us know.

If you would like to share any content with us for use in the newsletter or to share information on our social media platforms, please contact Ieuan-Rhys Beal on 029 2047 5995.
Nest’s partnership development managers have been working with a variety of partners across Wales, including NHS Wales, Welsh Water, Betsi Cadwalader UHB, and Caerphilly CAB, finding ways to best help and support households and families across Wales to heat their homes more effectively and to reduce their energy bills during the colder months.

"It's been over five years since I had any form of heat in my house, not even a gas fire, so this winter I won't have to sit down with a coat on and a sleeping bag to keep warm." Wrexham Resident

As we head further into January, Nest looks to deliver events with a host of organisations and local authorities across Wales, including; Groundwork North Wales, DWP, Swansea Council and Ynys Mon CAB, which look to raise awareness of the scheme. The advice and support given at our outreach events plays a pivotal role in ensuring families have the information to keep their home warm throughout winter.
Our partnership development managers are at the heart of our work to help households in most need of support from Nest. The team works with partners to reach the most vulnerable and socially excluded people across all areas of Wales.

If you would like to meet one of our partnership development managers to discuss working in partnership or to arrange a Nest briefing, please get in touch.
