Make Wales the Best Place to Grow Older

Cyfle i ddweud eich dweud ar sut gallwn ni wneud Cymru’r lle gorau yn y byd i dyfu’n hŷn ynddo

Mae Comisiynydd Pobl Hŷn Cymru am i Gymru fod y lle gorau yn y byd i dyfu’n hŷn ynddo, ac mae wrthi’n pennu’r gwaith y bydd yn ei wneud dros y tair blynedd nesaf i wella bywydau pobl hŷn.

Ers iddi ddechrau yn y swydd, mae’r Comisiynydd wedi teithio ar hyd a lled Cymru yn cwrdd ac yn siarad â phobl hŷn a sefydliadau i wrando ar beth fyddai’n gwneud Cymru’r lle gorau yn y byd i dyfu’n hyn ynddo.

Mae hyn wedi helpu’r Comisiynydd i nodi tri phrif flaenoriaeth tymor hir i Gymru. Bydd yn cyflawni ystod eang o waith ar ran pobl hŷn yn erbyn y blaenoriaethau hyn:

·                    Gwneud yn siŵr bod pawb yn gallu heneiddio’n dda

·                    Rhoi diwedd ar oedraniaeth a gwahaniaethu

·                    Rhoi diwedd ar gam-drin pobl hŷn yng Nghymru

Mae’r Comisiynydd yn awyddus i safbwyntiau a phrofiadau cynifer â phosib o bobl hŷn a rhanddeiliaid ddylanwadu ar ei gwaith a byddai’n croesawu eich barn ar beth dylai ganolbwyntio arno dan y meysydd blaenoriaeth hyn, yn arbennig y newidiadau rydych chi am eu gweld a’ch syniadau o ran sut mae cyflawni’r newidiadau hyn.

Share your views on how we can make Wales the best place in the world to grow older

The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales wants Wales to be the best place in the world to grow older and is currently determining the work she will undertake over the next three years to improve the lives of older people.

Since she took up post, the Commissioner has travelled the length and breadth of Wales, meeting and speaking with older people and organisations to hear about what would make Wales the best place in the world to grow older.

This has helped the Commissioner to identify three key long-term priorities for Wales, against which she will deliver a wide range of work over the next three years:

·                    Ensuring everyone can age well

·                    Ending ageism and discrimination

·                    Stopping abuse of older people

The Commissioner wants the voices and experiences of as many older people and stakeholders as possible to inform her work and would welcome your views on what she should focus on under these priority areas, particularly the changes you want to see and your ideas about how to make these changes happen.
