Shropdoc annually presents the 'Dr Steve Hugh Award for quality in Primary Care' to recognise individuals or teams, within the Shropshire and Powys areas, who have significantly contributed to the care which patients received. sometimes the recipient has introduced an innovation to care, supported a particular area such as Palliative Care or provided core services but to an exemplary degree.
PURSH - Powys Urgent Response Service in Homes are winners of the Award for 2015 recognising that they provide a responsive service, providing quick, support for elderly frail people in their own homes throughout Powys over the last 5 years where, without it, they would have been admitted to either an acute or community hospital inappropriately.
