Alzheimer's Society Survey to Service Users
A survey was launched on 3rd March 2015 to find out about people’s experiences of receiving a dementia diagnosis in Wales. The survey is now available and they would like your help to reach as many people with dementia as possible.
It will inform a report that will be launched at the Alzheimer's Society’s Wales National Conference in October 2015. This will be a key time for putting dementia on the agenda in the run up to the Welsh Assembly elections in 2016. A strong response rate will help ensure dementia remains a high priority at forthcoming elections, in manifestos, for civil servants and for local health and care leaders.
Information about the project and copies of the survey are available in English at www.alzheimers.org.uk/diagnosisWales and in Welsh at www.alzheimers.org.uk/diagnosisCymru.
If you have any questions about the project, please contact Alice Southern, Policy Officer on 029 2047 5580 or alice.southern@alzheimers.org.uk.

Exclusive Tariffs - Cyd Cymru/Wales Together
News from: Sustainable Development Unit - Uned Datblygu Cynaliadwy, Cardiff Council - Cyngor Caerdydd
"As we approach the switching period starting on Monday, we wanted to let you know that Cyd Cymru / Wales Together and our partner energyhelpline have secured an exclusive Dual Fuel (Gas and Electricity) Tariffs that can save an average UK home a whopping £429 a year.
We have also secured a range of other exclusive energy tariffs for electric only, economy 7 customer, Pre-payment meters and more. So there is something for everyone! What’s better is we show you how these amazing tariffs compare to everything else in the market, so you can be sure you are getting the best deal for you.
Switching is simple but you can only get these exclusive tariffs by registering for Cyd Cymru / Wales Together. Registration has been extended into the switching period.
You can be part of this collective energy switch, by clicking ‘register here' or by calling the contact centre before Sunday 22nd March. Phone lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. It would be helpful if you have a recent energy bill to hand (gas, electricity or both) to help answer some of the questions.
As we are now in the official switching period we can only offer telephone assistance for registration and switching in English as we will be utilising the phone lines of our official switching provider Energyhelpline who only operate in English. You can still register in Welsh online if you prefer. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause."
