Powys Healthy Schools Network is recruiting new volunteer Support Assessors

The Powys Healthy Schools Scheme is part of a national network providing support and advice to schools on improving children’s health and wellbeing. Participating schools are assessed through an accreditation visit and if successful in implementing  agreed developments they receive an award.

Support Assessors
Support Assessors work alongside the Healthy Schools Officers and receive training to support their role. Their task is to provide ‘quality control’ for the award process – checking that schools are fulfilling the scheme’s requirements, and that the Healthy Schools Team applies fairness, consistency and rigour. People trained to be second assessors will be asked to commit to attending at least 2 accreditations during the school year.
