Brecon stroke rehabilitation services

Following last year’s consultation, stroke services will move from Bronllys Hospital to Brecon Hospital on Monday 10 February.

The decision was taken due to the overall clinical benefits, and improved outcomes, that patients will receive from the service being located in Brecon.

Bob Hudson, Chief Executive of Powys teaching Health Board, said “I am grateful for all the involvement that the local community have had in the discussions around local services. I know that there were initial reservations about this move, but I hope that the success of other local projects, such as the Virtual Ward and the recently upgraded theatres in Brecon, help to demonstrate that we are committed to delivering the most appropriate care for the people of Powys.”
