Hello, and welcome to this week's newsletter. It's Trustees' Week! Across Wales and the rest of the UK we'll be celebrating the marvellous work of trustees, the behind-the-scenes heroes governing our charities and third sector organisations. To mark the occasion we've got a free event for trustees on Wednesday with Hugh James - Positive boards: your role in creating a healthy organisational culture.
This week is also Safeguarding Awareness Week here in Wales and as trustees are responsible for safeguarding everyone that comes into contact with their organisation we've got a few things up our sleeves to help trustees get up to speed. Find out more on our Trustees' Week page.
Lastly, if you're a member of WCVA you should have received an invitation from us to take part in our trustees election. The polls close tomorrow so please do take the chance to have your say on the future direction of WCVA, and get in touch if you haven't had your unique voting link.
Thanks for reading, we'll see you next week.
