WCVA Update w/c 5th August '19

We interrupt your regular programming to bring you a special WCVA update…
We’ve been hard at work over the past few months reshaping what WCVA means, what our true purpose is – and we’re thrilled to finally be able to share the fruits of our labour.
We’ll leave it to our CEO Ruth to explain what we’ve been up to below – but we can say we’re beyond excited to start putting our new purpose into practice!
Expect a return to your usual newsletter on Monday 12 August (it might look a bit different though…)
Thanks for reading, we’ll catch you again next week.

5 AWST 2019

Annwyl gyfeillion,

Mae heddiw’n nodi pennod newydd i CGGC.
Mae mudiadau gwirfoddol yn newid bywydau bob dydd, ond i fynd i’r afael â’r materion mawr sy’n wynebu ein cymdeithas mae angen i ni ddod at ein gilydd, trefnu ac edrych ymlaen i baratoi at y dyfodol.
Dyna pam yn CGGC mae pob un ohonom yn dod ynghyd y tu ôl i ymdeimlad newydd o bwrpas, sef galluogi mudiadau gwirfoddol yng Nghymru i wneud mwy o wahaniaeth gyda’n gilydd.
Rydym am sicrhau ein bod ni gyd yn barod i fynd i’r afael â’r heriau sy’n wynebu cymdeithas. I wneud hyn mae angen mudiadau gwirfoddol nawr yn fwy nag erioed. Ond ni all neb wneud hynny ar ei ben ei hun. Mae CGGC yma fel y gallwn ni gyd wneud mwy o wahaniaeth gyda’n gilydd.
Dros yr wythnosau nesaf byddwn yn defnyddio’r meddylfryd newydd hwn fel galwad i’r gad, nid yn unig i ddod ag elusennau a mudiadau gwirfoddol o bob math at ei gilydd, ond hefyd i ysbrydoli byd busnes a chyrff cyhoeddus i gynnig eu cefnogaeth hwythau fel y gallwn ni gyd wneud mwy o wahaniaeth a meithrin dyfodol gwell.
Mae hyn yn dechrau heddiw wrth i ni lansio Gwobrau Elusennau Cymru, cynllun gwobrwyo newydd a fydd yn tynnu sylw at effaith arbennig ac amrywiol mudiadau gwirfoddol, gan ddefnyddio straeon ysbrydoledig ledled Cymru i ddangos beth sy’n bosib ac ysgogi rhagor o bobl i fynd ati i wneud gwahaniaeth sut bynnag y gallant.
Mawr obeithiaf y byddwch yn ymuno â ni ac yn cefnogi pwrpas CGGC ar ei newydd wedd. Gallwn wneud mwy o wahaniaeth gyda’n gilydd.
Ewch i wcva.cymru i gael gwybod mwy.
Diolch yn fawr,

5 AUGUST 2019

Dear friends,

Today marks a new chapter for WCVA.
Voluntary organisations change lives every day, but to tackle the big issues facing our society we need to come together, organise and look ahead to prepare for the future.
That’s why at WCVA every single one of us is rallying around a new sense of purpose, to enable voluntary organisations in Wales to make a bigger difference together.
We want to make sure all of us are ready to tackle the challenges society faces head on. To do this we need voluntary organisations now more than ever. But none of us can do it alone. WCVA is here so we can all make a bigger difference together.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be using this new focus as a call to arms, not just to bring together charities and voluntary organisations of all kinds, but to inspire business and public bodies to offer their support so we can all make a bigger difference and build a better future.
This starts today with the launch of the Welsh Charity Awards, a new award scheme which will showcase the incredible and diverse impact that voluntary organisations make, using inspirational stories from Wales to show what’s possible and spur more people to get involved and make a difference however they can.
I hope you’ll join us and support WCVA’s refreshed purpose. We can make a bigger difference together.

Many thanks,
Ruth Marks
