North Powys Dementia Supportive Communities Event - 28 April 2016

We are planning a North Powys Dementia Supportive Communities event on 28th April, 2016
Cefn Lea Park Dolfor Newtown Powys SY16 4AJ
This event follows the South Powys event held last Autumn in Brecon. Both events have been funded/organised through the Older People Commissioner's Office as part of their building Dementia Supportive Communities initiative.

The programme for the event is still being finalised, but key highlights will be:

Renouned "Relive" Theatre company doing a session on what it feels like to live with Dementia (not to be missed)
Hearing from fledgling Dementia Friendly Communities (volunteers) in North Powys (Machynlleth and Welshpool) on their development
Practical advice from Phil Diamond,Torfaen County Council, on their partnership approach to achieving Dementia Supportive Communities.

Making Dementia Friendly Hospitals/Care Homes in Powys
