New Volunteer Recruits to the Regional Partnership Board

Carers Representatives - Owen Judd and one other (yet to be confirmed),

Individuals (Service Users) representatives Maggie Sims and Janet Rogers were selected to collectively represent the diversity of those who have experience of or have previously been in contact with health and/or social care services in Powys. They attended their first meeting of the Board on 25 April and wider engagement mechanisms will be confirmed.

The Powys Regional Partnership Board has been established by the new Social Services and Well-being Act (2014) and aims to improve the health and wellbeing of all people in Powys.

The Powys Regional Partnership Board provides leadership in decision making, guidance, influence and support to ensure successful delivery of Health and Care Services to people in Powys. The Board sits directly underneath the Joint Partnership Board which has a direct reporting remit to Welsh Government. Role of the Individual and Carer Partnership Board Member Membership of the Powys Regional Partnership Board for individuals and carers provides a voice for people in contact with health and social care services for people of all age. The mechanisms for involving children and young people are already in place.
