To understand the need for and principles of confidentiality in the workplace
To explore the relationship between confidentiality and the Data Protection Act
To clarify the requirements of the Data Protection Act:-
The principles of data protection
The rights of data subjects
An organisation's responsibilities in relation to the act
An employee's responsibilities in relation to the act
