Powys Volunteer of the Year 2016 - Open for Nominations

Get Nominating!

Powys Volunteer of the Year Awards honours exceptional volunteers in Powys.

The Powys Volunteer of the Year Awards reflect the positive difference the volunteer nominated has made to the wider community or individuals and groups within that community. Explaining the exceptional commitment they have made.

If you know of someone who has given up his or her time to help others then why not NOMINATE them for a Powys Volunteer of the Year Award?

We are looking for exceptional volunteers who have volunteered over and above what should be expected from them.

Any application must reflect the positive difference the volunteer nominated has made to the wider community or individuals and groups within that community. Explaining the exceptional commitment they have made, perhaps they have overcome hardship to take on voluntary work.

There are two categories of awards:

Individuals of any age
Groups - two or more individuals forming a group that carry out a task, activity or project. This can either be a) a purely voluntary run group or
b)a group of volunteers within an organisation with paid staff. For organisations with paid staff the nomination has to be for the group of volunteers, rather than the organisation.

There will also be an additional Outstanding Contribution award, selected from the nominations from the other categories.

For a nomination form or more information, contact PAVO on: 01597 822191 or e-mail info@pavo.org.uk
The deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday 3rd June 2016.

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend a Bafta style event in Builth Wells on Thursday 6 th October 2016.  We look forward to receiving the nominations!
