Dementia Care Setting Garden Make Overs

Living through Landscapes is a three year, Lottery funded project with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of dementia patients through increased use of outside spaces. They hope to promote the beneficial impact of regular and frequent access to the natural environment for people living with dementia by improving the outdoor areas of 30 dementia care settings across the country and delivering training and resources to staff and management teams.

They are now launching applications to take part in Year 2 and 3 of the project. This will be a 2 stage application process – Stage 1 is to complete a short online application form, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to Stage 2 where a more detailed conversation about the project will take place.

You can find the application form here: https://www.surveymonkey.net/r/dementiagarden

Should you decide not to participate you can still follow the progress of the project on Facebook and Twitter and don’t forget to sign up to their regular email updates on their website!
