Monday 14th May 2018 - Mental Health Awareness Week BCU Event
The Powys event is being held at Llandrindod Combined Services Centre. The morning has presentations from PC Owen Griffiths and PS Brian Murphey from a personal perspective of managing their own stress, a presentation on TRIM and the Chaplaincy. The afternoon is being presented by Powys Teaching Health Board where they will facilitate a workshop about The Five Ways to Wellbeing, Time to Talk Wales.

Newtown - New bench to be placed in the garden area at front of DN station sponsored by Dementia friends.
Welshpool – Stall with leaflets and Information at Tesco.
Llanidloes – Llangurrig Coffee morning.
Brecon - Visits to Christ College in Brecon, discussing Stress and mental wellbeing.
Crickhowell: Community meeting at Henderson Hall – information sharing re Mental Health.
Hay on Wye: Memory Café Cusop - information sharing re Mental Health.
Ystradgynlais - Surgery Abercrave HUB and attending Community Council meeting Ystradfellte.
Tuesday 15th May 2018
Newtown – Town centre leaflet distribution.
Welshpool – Town Centre with Mobile Police Station.
Llanfyllin - Visit to Mencap Centre.
Llanidloes - Maes Y Wennol Day Care Centre. Drop in.
Llandrindod Wells - Visit Hazels Mental Health Team and joint visits if appropriate (depending on patient’s wishes and current health.)
Ystradgynlais - Tesco Pop up Event.
Brecon: Talk at Youth Club re stress and mental wellbeing in young people.
Crickhowell: Schools Visits in the area talking about exam stress and mental wellbeing.
Hay on Wye: Visit to MIND Hay.
Wednesday 16th May 2018
Newtown - Morrison’s & Tesco’s leaflet distribution.
Welshpool - Visit Ponthafren Mental Health.
Llanidloes - High School Visit discussions and advice with students re Mental Health and stress.
Llandrindod Wells - NPT Police Display at PAVO organised networking event DL Pavilion. Aim is to Promote and advertise our involvement in supporting people with mental ill health.
Ystradgynlais - Welfare Hall Abercrave coffee morning, Healthy Living centre – Neuro Café Support and Autistic Youth club pop up event 19.00
Brecon : talk at Brecon High School re Exam stress and mental wellbeing in young people.
Crickhowell: Visit to Clarence hall – drop in centre.
Hay on Wye: Coffee Morning talk at Bronllys.
Thursday 17th May 2018
Mental Health Awareness Week BCU Event
HQ, FCC & Carmarthenshire Drop-In Event: –
· Therapy dogs will be attending both am and pm from Pets as Therapy ( Carole Vaughan and a Mr Jerzy Bilski)
· Moon Therapy who offer a number of different things from reflexology, sports massage, Indian head massage and energy balancing (Keri sewell Thomas)
· The Nurture centre Carmarthen who offer family Yoga. Touch therapies, Rolfing and Body balancing ( Christine Davies)
· I have a literature from Call4backup a peer support charity as I am a champion for them
· I will also be bringing literature from the Mental health triage team.
Newtown – Presentation from Recovery Practitioner of Small Steps (Young people)
Welshpool - Phoenix House mental Health.
Llanidloes – Visit Leg Club and then Tea @Three.
Llandrindod Wells - Team meeting during which we’ll discuss the Force policies and support for staff/officers suffering from stress related issues. Debrief Op Sable (DK murder) as all the staff has been involved to varying degrees.
Ystradgynlais - MIND pop up event.
Brecon: Visit and talk to Brecon Leg Club inc mental health wellbeing talk.
Hay on Wye: Visit and talk at MIND Talgarth.
Friday 18th May 2018
Ceredigion events will be held at the Coleg Ceredigion campus. During the day there will be presentations from PC Manon and PS Brian Murphy who have kindly offered to share their personal experiences of managing stress.
Complimentary taster sessions of massage and reflexology will be provided by Augustus Therapies. Stalls will be provided by ‘Mind Cymru’ and ‘Time To Change Wales’ offering advice.

Llanidloes - Coffee Morning information sharing and local PAVO community Connector

Rhayader - Visiting our MAVIS supported mentally unwell subjects.
Brecon: Community engagement at Brecon Market giving information about mental wellbeing.
Hay on Wye: Home visits with known vulnerable persons in the Hay section discussing mental wellbeing and health.
Saturday 19th May 2018
Builth Wells – Royal Welsh Spring Fair - Tent at Spring Fair will include information on mental ill health and promoting the Force involvement.
Ystradgynlais - Tesco Pop up event and visit to St Cynogs church service.
Brecon: Surgeries at the Coop and Morrisons in Brecon talking about Mental health.
Sunday 20th May 2018
