NHS Future Fit aims to agree the future shape of safe and sustainable hospital services in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin - working with communities and partners across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales who rely on these services.
These proposals affect Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury and Princess Royal Hospital Telford, which are the main acute hospitals for many residents of Montgomeryshire and north east Radnorshire.
Public consultation ends on 4 September 2018. A consultation website: www.nhsfuturefit.org provides more information, the consultation documents and the opportunity to fill in an online survey.
During the 14-week consultation period, there will be eight public exhibition events across the region served by the hospitals, including one in Newtown from 3-30pm - 7.30pm on 28 June 2018 at the Elephant and Castle Hotel, Broad St, Newtown SY16 2BQ.
In addition, there will be a range of pop-up style roadshows at community and public venues across Powys. Representatives from PTHB and from the Clinical Commissioning Groups in England will attend a range of meetings and events providing regular updates and answering questions.
Public meetings and events will be publicised on the consultation website at www.nhsfuturefit.org.
