Job Purpose: To encourage and support community organisations within the Brecon Beacons National Park in developing locally-led projects with special regard to sustaninable development and access for all. To help develop BBNPA capacity for inclusion and disability equality.
Main Duties: To assist and encourage local people and gorups in initiationg and developing community sustainability and social inclusion projects, including advising on organisational structures and group management and funding and to co-ordinate appropriate response from other Park staff.
Lead lifelong learning and awareness outdoor activities with a range of excluded groups at various locations in the surrounding National Park.
To work with other staff in developing projects to improve access to and understanding of the Brecon Beacons National Park for people with projected characteristics.
To research and produce short publications briefing sheets and promotional material in support of above work and to maintain information resources e.g. community council address database, Community webspages on BBNPA website.
To liaise and work jointly with other National Park staff and with other teams working on community development.
To undertake anyother duty, appropriate to the grade and nature of the post as required by the CEO.
