From Powys County Council:
Powys County Council is starting a consultation about the future of the Day Services for people with a learning disability in the south of Powys. The project includes the in-house day services in Brecknockshire and also one external contract currently held by Cymryd Rhan in Llandrindod Wells. This project does not include the social enterprise in Brecon known as Beacons Creative.Because of cuts in funding to Powys from the Welsh Government, Adult Social Care need to save nearly a 3rd of the budget over the next few years. This means taking a new look at how we deliver services rather than simply carrying on doing what we did in the past, so that we meet people’s needs in the most appropriate and cost effective way.
We are having a series of ‘drop in’ days for you to come and talk to us about the ideas and options we have for the services’ future. There are also some questionnaires which have detailed information in them about the different options.
You can come and talk to us at the drop in on one of the dates below or just send back the questionnaire in a pre-paid envelope. They have to be returned to the Council by the 29th March 2016.
11th March - 10am – 4pm Ystradgynlais Ground Floor Conference Room - Hendre Ladus, Ystradgynlais, Powys, SA9 1SE
