Services will be reconfigured in order to deliver a new service specification, which will re-orientate services towards briefer assessment and treatment episodes.
There will be a particular focus on training and support for other agencies in relation to screening and responding to alcohol problems amongst the over 50's; in addition to a focus on New Psychoactive Substances, and reducing other drug related harms through providing a greater range of needle exchange services.
The service will commence on 1st April 2016, with the contract initially running for a 3 year period.
