Message from Dewis Choice:

As you may be aware, for some time the Dewis Choice project has been considering raising a petition for submission to the Senedd – the National Assembly of Wales.
Thank you to those who spent time with us earlier in the year by attending meetings and helping us to distil the discussions into the final wording.

The petition is now on the Senedd’s website and open for people to read and hopefully sign to show their support.
The title is, ‘Transforming the response to older people experiencing domestic abuse – a call for action’.

As long as we get more than 50 signatures the Senedd Petitions Committee will consider the petition, gather together information about the subject where it has been discussed in the Assembly or in Committee meetings and ask for a response from the relevant minister.
