Expectations being placed upon the sector to support people who will no longer be eligible for social care

Already, we are able to evidence a number of key messages e.g. the need for longer term funding arrangements and capacity issues relating to an expectation to take on more clients etc.

As part of the work carried out via the Mid & West Wales Health & Social Care Collaborative, PAVO has been asked to conduct a mapping exercise of the third sector's capability in Powys, particularly in relation to the changing eligibility criteria for Social Care. Expectations are being placed upon the sector to support people who will no longer be eligible for social care. In particular, the strategy refers to third sector befriending services, information services and advocacy services.

Fel rhan o'r gwaith a wneir trwy Bartneriaeth Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol Canolbarth a Gorllewin Cymru, mae PAVO wedi cytuno i gynnal arolwg mapio o allu'r trydydd sector ym Mhowys, yn enwedig mewn perthynas â newid y meini prawf cymhwysedd ar gyfer Gofal Cymdeithasol. Mae disgwyliadau yn cael eu gosod ar y sector i gefnogi pobl na fydd mwyach yn gymwys i dderbyn gofal cymdeithasol. Yn benodol, mae'r strategaeth yn cyfeirio at wasanaethau cyfeillio trydydd sector, gwasanaethau gwybodaeth a gwasanaethau eiriolaeth.

Diolch yn fawr i'r rhai sydd eisoes wedi cwblhau'r arolwg hwn. Os nad ydych wedi gwneud hynny eto, byddai eich ymateb yn hynod o ddefnyddiol a gwerthfawr.
