PAVO is launching ‘CaPowys! Machynlleth’, the first of our Community Action Roadshows with 2-days of training, support and networking events at Y Plas, Machynlleth, on 11th & 18th June.
The main ways you can get involved are:
- By coming along to our training workshops on fundraising, social media, working with volunteers, and being a trustee (details and booking via our website at http://bit.ly/capowys )
- By dropping in to speak to our skilled Development Advisors about any aspect of running or setting up a community project, charity or social enterprise. They will be there from 10-30am-5.30pm on 11th June.
- By joining in the Community Soup at 1pm on 11th June, to help raise money for a local project (possibly your own!). Either develop a pitch for your own project by attending the 'Writing a Really Great Funding Bid' in the morning; or just come for the Soup itself (paid by donation).
- By having a free stall at the Community Connections Fair on 18th June to share and talk about your work.
- By coming to the Volunteer Networking Tea (& Cake!), to see if you can find some more amazing volunteers for your project.
We are also looking for partners to help us deliver the Community Soup event (either by providing some ingredients, or making the soup itself, or a kitchen, or providing the bowls and spoons!). So if you're interested, we'd love to hear from you!
Please help to spread the word and share with anyone you think might be interested. If you would like a bundle of leaflets, we can arrange a drop-in in Machynlleth.
