Aim: A needle and syringe exchange scheme allows injecting drug users to obtain clean needles and syringes and return used ones for safe disposal and destruction. Schemes provide a valuable public health benefit for individuals and communities by reducing the spread of blood borne viruses and other related infections. This half day event will cover the principles of needle exchange, what is available in Powys; and the key harm reduction messages that should be given to injecting drug users,
