Naloxone and Overdose Awareness
2nd June 2015, 9.30am 12.30pm in Committee Room A, The Gwalia, Llandrindod Wells

Aim:  Naloxone is a pharmaceutical drug which can temporarily reverse the effects of an opiate overdose, providing more time for an ambulance to arrive and treatment to be given. In the event of an overdose on an opiate, an injection of naloxone could help save their life. This course will help participants to understand the dangers of mixing substances, identify the signs and symptoms of overdose, and what to do in an overdose situation / how to administer naloxone.
Target Audience:  All professionals who come into contact with drug users.  Course Provider: Kaleidoscope
