Planning for Communities

Thinking about preparing a Place Plan?



Planning Aid Wales has recently published a guidance website on Place Plans. Funded by Welsh Government, the website contains information and guidance for Community and Town Councils and Planning Professionals. For Community and Town Councils: help on deciding whether a Place Plan is right for you and practical tools to get you started. For Planning Authorities: Guidance on LDP context, and where, when and how you can best support your communities.The website can viewed at  www.placeplans.org.uk   

Planning for Communities 

On the 11th June 2019, Planning Aid Wales and One Voice Wales will be working in partnership to host a Network Event at the Glasdir Conference Centre in Llanwrst.  The event will focus on shaping communities and the role of Community Plans and Place Plans.  Experts in community planning will be running workshop sessions to help local community representatives make decisions on what approach is best for them and to provide guidance on how to prepare plans.   A keynote speaker from Welsh Government will also be attending.


Planning your Places

Planning Aid Wales has secured funding from Welsh Government to deliver a programme of 10 free training events on planning policy across Wales.The programme, entitled ‘Planning your places’ will be delivered between March and June.
