EYST Wales is an award-winning and unique, beneficiary-led voluntary organisation supporting ethnic minority young people, individuals and families across Wales. A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Female* Family Support Worker to deliver the Orientation Service for the Syrian Relocation Programme on behalf of Powys County Council. This service delivers an orientation and resettlement service to Syrian families resettled to Llandrindod Wells under the Home Office Syrian Vulnerable Persons Relocation Programme. Based in Llandrindod Wells in Powys, we are looking to recruit a Female* Family Support Worker working 17.5 hours a week for a salary of £10,500 per annum (£21,000 pro rata) (*This is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010). The successful post holder will be skilled in supporting vulnerable people, a car owner/driver, the ability to speak and understand Arabic is also desirable but not essential. We will also consider and actively encourage secondments to the post –(if applying as a secondment please ensure you have your employer’s agreement before applying). This is currently funded until September 2019, but may be renewable, subject to funded.
