Please promote this Protocol as widely as possible.

This will not be relevant for all persons living with Dementia, but those who are at risk of being reported missing.

·         Neighbourhood Policing Teams – Please promote this through Social Media.

Do you care for someone who has #dementia? We have an on-line form #HerbertProtocol which is designed to be completed before a vulnerable person goes missing. Filling in this form will help the police to find the missing person.  For more info visit https://www.dyfed-powys.police.uk/

Independence matters. For those living with #dementia, the #HerbertProtocol offers reassurance to family and friends that if their loved one does go missing, they can quickly pass relevant information to the police to help the search. For more info visit https://www.dyfed-powys.police.uk/

·         Should you be aware of a person living with Dementia who is at risk of being reported missing, then please visit and discuss the Protocol.

·         When you are aware of someone taking up this Protocol, please place a Storm comment on the address.

Please remind those involved that the personal information and behaviours may change on a regular basis, so it is beneficial to keep this information up to date and available.
