This is an exiting opportunity for a Registered Heath Professional with previous experience in Sexual Heath and Contraception to lead in the development of Sexual Heath Services within Powys in line with Public Heath Wales Sexual Heath Service Specifications. This is an internal appointment on a 12 month fixed term contract and secondment arrangements welcomed.

The role is interesting and varied encompassing all aspects of Sexual Health and Contraceptive needs for the population of Powys. Areas of responsibility will include working clinically providing screening, treatment, enhanced contraceptive services and health advice, providing training and support to colleague within the Health Board and third sector organisations and leading on the development of new initiatives to ensure clients can access the relevant services.

The post holder will have or be working towards a recognised qualification in Sexual Heath (BASSH/ FSRH) including LARC fitting, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to work well as part of the wider health and social care team. The ability to work flexibly and under own initiative will be required.
The post will require the need to travel throughout Powys and on occasions out of county.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
