Powys Dance are currently delivering a project in partnership with Sennybridge Primary School, funded by Arts Council Wales' Creative Collaborations.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a child lead project encouraging children to make sense of the world around them through poetry, dance and drama. Weekly sessions will enable children to explore the ideas and questions they have, then share the work they've created. Powys Dance are looking to appoint someone to support the children in creating an installation that will represent the thoughts and ideas gathered throughout the project. This will then be displayed at Theatr Brycheiniog on the 5th and 6th April then will be displayed at the Imperial College London for display at the end of June.
The appointed artist will meet with the project facilitators on the 28th February in Brecon, to learn about the project so far and plan for the installation. The artist will then co-facilitate two days at the school on the 6th and 13th March, a further two days are required to set up the installation at the theatre with an extra half day as a contingency and evaluation.
The fee is £150 per day for 5 days plus travel expenses. The successful candidate will need a DBS check,
