Welsh Government is currently consulting on developing a set of national milestones for Wales to both measure progress against the Wellbeing Goals and support the aims of Prosperity For All.
WCVA is planning to respond to this consultation and, for this response, would like input on proposals around milestones measuring National Indicator 23 – ‘the percentage who feel able to influence decisions affecting their local area.’ (See p6 of the consultation document.)
Indicator 23 helps measure the Wellbeing Goals of ‘a more equal Wales’, ‘a Wales of cohesive communities’ and ‘a globally responsible Wales’ and would support the aim of a ‘united and connected Wales’ under Prosperity For All.
Please see the National Indicators Technical Document for more info. The full description of Indicator 23 is: Percentage of adults (aged 16+) who agree or strongly agree with the statement: I can influence decisions affecting my local area.
Let David Cook know if there are any amendments you think should be made to this indicator, why, and how this change would contribute to measuring the three Goals mentioned above by e-mailing dcook@wcva.org.uk
In addition please let Dave know if you think there are any indicators that should be added or removed, and why, or any changes you think should be made to the criteria by which indicators are selected.
